TRANSFER FOSTERING AGENCY

JOIN OUR FAMILY

There are many reasons why foster carers may wish to transfer from either an Agency Local Authority. Here at Ascent, we make the transfer and assessment process as easy and hassle-free as possible. Our video features Carrie, our supervising social worker, speaking to a couple of our new carers about their experience of transferring their fostering service to Ascent. Hear what they have to say about their intention to transfer and the overall transfer protocols involved.

Reasons for transferring could be :

  • Moving areas.
  • Requiring more support and training.
  • Wishing to take on a new challenge – different types of placements.
  • Wishing to work in a therapeutic organisation.
  • Further development of your fostering skills.

Children and young person are at the heart of what we do. The welfare of the child is our top priority, so join Ascent and be part of our family. Our agency decision-maker is dedicated to ensuring that the best interests of the foster child in your care are always considered throughout the transfer process. We aim to complete transfers within 28 days, allowing for a smooth transition for foster children.
